Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Energie water heaters in Qatar — technology, efficiency, installation, warranty, maintenance, and more.

Getting Started

Quotations & Energy Efficiency

How do I get a quotation for an Energie water heater in Qatar?
Contact Aamtron Group for a free site survey. Our engineers visit, assess hot-water demand and installation constraints, size the right Energie model, and issue a written proposal covering supply, installation, commissioning, and warranty registration. Residential, villa, commercial, and labour-camp projects are all scoped individually.
How much energy can I save compared to an electric geyser?
Energie thermodynamic systems cut water-heating electricity consumption by up to 75–80% compared to a conventional electric geyser. With a COP of up to 4.5, every 1 kWh of electricity delivers as much as 4.5 kWh of heat — a dramatic reduction in your monthly KAHRAMAA water-heating load.
Are there Qatar government programs for energy-efficient water heaters?
Qatar National Vision 2030 encourages energy efficiency, and KAHRAMAA actively promotes conservation through the Tarsheed program. Lower electricity consumption directly supports those goals. Contact us for the latest information on any available efficiency programs.
Technology

How the Technology Works

Does a thermodynamic water heater really work 24/7 in Qatar's climate?
Yes. Unlike photovoltaic or solar thermal panels that only work in direct daylight, Energie thermodynamic systems extract heat from ambient air — operating from -5°C to +55°C. This means they work day, night, rain, cloud, sandstorm, and fog. Performance in Qatar's warm climate is excellent — expect peak efficiency year-round.
What's the difference between heat pump and thermodynamic water heaters?
Both use the heat pump principle (refrigerant cycle). A standard heat pump water heater (like EcoTop) uses only ambient air as its heat source. A thermodynamic water heater (like Solar Block) has a specially-designed external panel that also absorbs solar radiation, rain, and wind energy — boosting efficiency. Thermodynamic models typically deliver higher COP values and operate across a wider temperature range.
What is COP and why does it matter?
COP (Coefficient of Performance) measures how many units of heat you get per unit of electricity used. A conventional electric geyser has a COP of 1 (1 kWh in = 1 kWh heat). An Energie heat pump has a COP of up to 4.5 — meaning 1 kWh of electricity produces 4.5 kWh of heat. Higher COP = lower electric bill.
How much hot water does a 200L Solar Block provide daily?
A 200L Solar Block produces approximately 300-400 litres of usable hot water per day at 55°C — enough for a typical 4-5 person household with 2-3 bathrooms. The system reheats continuously and automatically, so you always have hot water on demand.
Installation

Installation & Compliance

How long does installation take?
A residential Solar Block or EcoTop heat pump installation typically takes 4-6 hours for a single unit. Split thermodynamic systems with rooftop panels take 1 full working day. Commercial projects depend on scope — typically 3-10 working days.
Do I need KAHRAMAA approval?
For residential replacement of an existing water heater, KAHRAMAA approval is generally not required. For new installations in new buildings, or for any commercial project, KAHRAMAA and QCDD approvals are needed. Aamtron Group handles all required submissions on your behalf as part of our project scope.
Can I install an Energie water heater in an apartment?
Yes. The EcoTop heat pump water heater is ideal for apartments — it fits in a standard boiler room or balcony. The Solar Block all-in-one also works well if you have balcony, utility, or service-yard space. Our engineer will assess your specific apartment during the free site survey.
What happens to my old electric geyser?
We safely disconnect, remove, and dispose of your old unit in accordance with Qatar environmental regulations. This is included as part of our standard installation package.
Service & Support

Warranty, Service & Support

What is the warranty on Energie water heaters?
Energie provides: 5-year warranty on the enameled steel tank, 2-year warranty on the compressor, refrigeration circuit, and electrical components. Aamtron Group acts as the local warranty service center in Qatar — we register your warranty, stock genuine spare parts, and handle all claims directly without shipping delays.
Do you provide annual maintenance contracts (AMC)?
Yes. We offer three AMC tiers: Residential Standard (2 visits/year), Residential Premium (4 visits/year + anode replacement), and Commercial AMC (customized schedule with dedicated engineer). AMC includes preventive maintenance, priority emergency response, and genuine spare-parts support.
How quickly can you respond to an emergency?
Greater Doha: 2-4 hours emergency response. Remote areas of Qatar: same-day response. AMC customers get priority scheduling. We operate a 24/7 on-call technical team for commercial clients.
Which areas of Qatar do you serve?
We serve all of Qatar, including Doha, Lusail, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Mesaieed, Umm Salal, Al Shahaniya, Al Daayen, Education City, The Pearl, West Bay, Al Wukair, Ras Laffan, and all industrial/commercial zones.
Can you service water heaters from other brands?
Our primary focus is Energie products, but our technicians can perform basic troubleshooting and inspection on other heat pump and solar thermal brands. For ongoing maintenance of non-Energie systems, we recommend consulting the original supplier to preserve warranty terms.
Does the system make noise?
Modern Energie units operate at below 45 dB(A) — quieter than a typical refrigerator or library. For split thermodynamic systems, the outdoor panel is completely silent (no compressor outside). Pool heat pumps are under 55 dB.
Cost & Sizing

Pricing, Lifespan & Sizing

How much does a thermodynamic water heater cost in Qatar?
As of April 2026, a 200L Energie Solar Block thermodynamic water heater in Qatar typically ranges from QAR 8,500 to QAR 14,000 supplied and installed, depending on site conditions, pipework, and electrical requirements. Payback against a conventional electric geyser is usually 3–5 years thanks to up to 80% lower electricity consumption. Final pricing is confirmed after a free site survey.
How long does a water heater last in Qatar?
A conventional electric geyser in Qatar typically lasts 4–6 years due to mineral-heavy municipal water and continuous thermal stress. An Energie enamelled-steel-tank heat pump or thermodynamic system, with annual maintenance, is designed to last 12–15 years — roughly three times longer than a standard geyser.
How do I size a water heater for my Qatar villa?
A typical Qatar villa sizing rule is 50–70 litres of hot-water demand per person per day. A 4-bedroom villa with 5–6 residents and 3 bathrooms usually requires a 300L Solar Block or a 200L + 200L split heat pump configuration. Aamtron engineers run a detailed heat-load calculation during the free site survey to confirm the right unit.
Does the thermodynamic system work in Qatar winter?
Yes. Qatar winter temperatures rarely drop below 10°C, well within the Energie thermodynamic operating range of -5°C to +55°C. The system performs slightly better in cooler months because the refrigerant cycle benefits from the larger temperature differential with the ambient air.
Compliance & Integration

Regulations, AMC & Smart Integration

Do Energie systems comply with legionella control rules in Qatar?
Yes. Every Energie heat pump and thermodynamic system includes an automatic anti-legionella cycle that periodically raises tank temperature to 65°C to kill bacteria, in line with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and QCDD water-safety guidelines for residential and commercial hot-water systems.
What does your Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) include?
Aamtron AMC covers: biannual or quarterly preventive inspections, refrigerant pressure check, anode rod inspection and replacement (on Premium), tank descaling, electrical terminal tightening, WiFi and controller update, priority emergency response within 2–4 hours in Greater Doha, and 10% discount on any out-of-warranty spare parts. Three tiers are available — Residential Standard, Residential Premium, and Commercial.
Do you offer service in Arabic?
Yes. Aamtron Group's customer service and engineering teams are bilingual in Arabic and English. Proposals, WhatsApp support, and on-site communications can be conducted entirely in Arabic on request.
Can Energie water heaters integrate with a villa BMS or smart home?
Yes. EcoTop heat pumps and Aquapura pool heat pumps include a WiFi interface and mobile app for remote monitoring and control. Commercial cascade systems can be integrated with a building BMS via Modbus RTU/TCP for centralized control of multiple units across hotels, hospitals, and labour camps.
